Hello there!
Michelle here from Paddle Creek Writers. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas season and are off to a great start in the new year. I am looking forward to what the writing year will bring; including getting my second novel out.
We (we being Bev, Pat, Susan and myself) recently had our office Christmas party, and by that I mean we all ate too much at Bev’s lovely home (see above), exchanged fun creative and/or writerly gifts and played several hands of Monopoly Deal, which we as a group are seriously addicted to. (Plus, we all got signed copies of Bev’s debut novel, which is so exciting! Yay for Bev!)
And we discussed our writing journey and each of us made a few goals for 2017.
We are going to try and post regularly here on Paddle Creek Writers (PCW) and next week we will be starting a round robin story that Bev will kick off for us. Keep an eye out for a four-part story; it could be heartwarming or it could be hilarious or anywhere in between. Stay tuned!

A new year—a renewed energy! Can’t wait to see if we can fulfill the “each one publish a book” goal we set for 2017. I always thought the joy was in the journey, but know now that there’s quite a bit of joy in the publishing also. 🙂 Happy 2017.
